We got a call from a prospective client in Powell, Ohio who was a little tired of the maintenance and upkeep required on their existing wood deck. They were interested in looking at options to remove the wood deck and replace it with something that would require less maintenance. This is a picture of the existing deck.
After meeting with them for an Initial Consultation we went to work preparing a plan that would meet their family’s wants and needs. We did a Site Survey in which we shot the grades and took pictures of the existing site.
Then we prepared a Scaled Master Plan that showed the new suggested patio layout in relation to their house. We also created a 3D Movie that showed their house with the new patio to really allow them to visualize what our suggestions would like if they decided to proceed. This is a screenshot from the movie.
Once the plan was completed we met with them once again to review the plan and discuss the budget for the project. They approved the plan and proposal and were very excited to get started. We set a date to begin the project and then helped them pick the colors that would fit their taste.
We removed and disposed of the old wood deck and installed a larger patio perfectly positioned to take advantage of the views of their Koi Pond with waterfall and beautiful wooded lot. The new paver patio has an upper level with Ivory colored Travertine and a lower level with Washington Pavers in Canyon Creek color. The upper and lower levels are separated by a raised planter constructed with Edington Wall Units in Canyon Creek color. A Seating Wall built at the perfect height outlines the lower patio. Accent lighting built into the walls and pillars create just the right atmosphere. The lower level also has a gas fire pit perfect for family get-togethers. What would you do if this was your new paver patio courtesy of McCoy Landscape?
